About the foundation

Our mission, our vision and who we are.

What we stand for

Our mission

Sultana Development & Humanitarian Foundation works to strengthen social solidarity by providing integrated support to those in need — with a focus on orphans and widows, and on groups requiring particular care, such as deaf and mute children.

We aim to give them the educational and vocational opportunities they need to take a full part in their community, and to contribute to its development. We hold our projects to a standard of sustainability, so that support continues rather than stops.

Our vision

That Sultana Development & Humanitarian Foundation becomes the support and the enabler of those most in need — orphans, widows and people with disabilities — through integrated programmes of education, training and rehabilitation.

Who we are

Sultana Development & Humanitarian Foundation was established in Hadhramaut Governorate to stand with those in need — among them orphans, widows and people with disabilities. The foundation works steadily to deliver humanitarian and developmental assistance, with the aim of improving the lives of those it serves and enabling them to live with dignity and independence.

It runs charitable projects including Eid clothing for orphans and support for widows. Its current focus is deaf and mute people: providing education and vocational rehabilitation, and working towards a dedicated centre for them. These initiatives are part of a wider commitment to serving the community and to comprehensive development.

Strategic goals

  1. Support orphans and widows

By providing basic needs such as clothing, education and vocational rehabilitation.

  2. Support deaf and mute people

Through education and rehabilitation initiatives, and by building a dedicated centre aimed at their inclusion in society.

  3. Broaden the scope of charitable work

To include developmental and social projects that improve the living conditions of those in need.

  4. Empower women

By providing training and rehabilitation programmes that increase their opportunities for work and participation.

  5. Raise community awareness

Of the characteristics and needs of vulnerable groups, and activate the community's role in supporting them.

  6. Sustain support and integrate the work

Through diversified funding, strategic planning, capacity building, stronger relationships and partnerships, and cooperation with individuals, institutions and other associations in service of humanitarian and developmental goals.
